The Playroom

The Playroom is a collection of play therapy toys that were gathered in line with the evidenced-based Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) playroom developed by Dr. Garry Landreth. CCPT is evidenced-based and deemed developmentally appropriate mental health intervention for children who experience social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

The Multicultural Playroom

The Multicultural Playroom is an evolution of the playroom established by Dr. Garry Landreth. A multicultural playroom is intentionally designed to facilitate a child's free expression and exploration of self, including all cultural aspects of self. Cultural expression includes those within the context of, but not limited to, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual identity, ability, social class, language, nationality, citizenship status, religion, childhood, generation, family structure, and community type.

Filial Therapy

Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a Filial Therapy model that is based on the principles of Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). It is designed to take place in a group setting where caregivers learn CCPT skills they can use at home with their child through weekly therapeutic play sessions. The CPRT facilitator provides experiential, didactic, and supervision learning opportunities to the caregivers participating in CPRT. CPRT is evidence-based and can help families improve behavioral, emotional, social, and attachment challenges.

Sandtray Therapy

Sandtray therapy is an expressive therapy with significant flexibility. It can be used with clients of all ages, it can be nondirective and directive, and can be fully nonverbal and projective while also being cognitive and solution-focused. The fundamental purpose for using sandtray therapy is to provide a nonverbal method of processing issues for clients presenting with a variety of issues. Sandtray therapy can be utilized in individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and group therapy. It can be used as the primary mode of counseling, as a change of pace, or as a way of noting change and therapeutic progress.
