Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a Filial Therapy model that is based on the principles of Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). It is designed to take place in a group setting where caregivers learn CCPT skills they can use at home with their child through weekly therapeutic play sessions. The CPRT facilitator provides experiential, didactic, and supervision learning opportunities to the caregivers participating in CPRT.
CPRT is evidence-based and can help families improve behavioral, emotional, social, and attachment challenges.
